Bank Data Platform & Integrations

  • Collaborated on the design and implementation of a provider-agnostic C#/.NET bank data platform with connection redundancy and provider fallback, ultimately supporting millions of bank connections and billions of transactions.
  • Implemented and maintained Plaid, MX, Quovo, Akoya, Capital One, and Wells Fargo integrations, working directly with provider teams on launches, new features, and troubleshooting.
  • Delivered approximately $3M in annual savings by routing bank connections to lower-cost providers based on the financial institution.
  • Built automated, billing-aware connection pruning jobs contributing to $1.2M in annual savings without impacting user experience.
  • Served as the bank data platform’s primary technical owner, co-leading technical projects, troubleshooting complex issues, and resolving production incidents.
  • Interviewed, onboarded, and mentored engineers on bank integrations, service architecture, and production operations.
  • Contributed to bank transaction data-access rewrites for two migrations: SQL Server to Elasticsearch for performance, and Elasticsearch to DynamoDB for cost reduction; validated correctness with parity checks.
  • Built full-stack bank troubleshooting tools with C#/.NET APIs, ASP.NET MVC, and AngularJS, enabling customer service agents to investigate and resolve bank connection issues.
  • Led the transition of bank data platform development and production ownership to the Bangkok engineering team through knowledge transfer; remained an escalation contact after the handoff.

Platform Modernization & Efficiency

  • Migrated legacy .NET Framework web services, message processors, and scheduled jobs from EC2 to modern .NET microservices on Kubernetes to improve scalability; used Cloudflare Workers to gradually shift API traffic during rollout.
  • Replaced SQS delivery flows with SNS and Kafka to support multiple downstream consumers, using Optimizely-controlled rollouts to validate behavior during migration.
  • Migrated database-intensive scheduled jobs to Databricks using replicated data, reducing production database load; verified matching results before switching production processing.
  • Optimized service resources and scaling policies, saving tens of thousands of dollars annually while improving scaling reliability.
  • Reduced log volume and record size, lowering Datadog costs by over $50K annually.
